This week we are hanging up our dancing shoes for a slightly more relaxed session as we welcome back harpist Alex Rider to Music Cub to discuss the harp and women composers. This is a slightly specialist topic, however I know this is something Alex is very passionate about and I am sure he will be bringing to the session both live examples (with him playing) and some YouTube clips.

As usual we would love to hear your musical suggestions and this week we are asking for harp music by female composers - there are plenty of examples online if you google female harp composers, so if you have time take a look and send me your favourite clip!

If you have not attended our music club before then please feel free to come and give us a try! Our sessions are friendly, FREE and very informal and no musical knowledge is required! You are welcome to share your musical choice, or if you would prefer just sit back and listen to everyone else talk! Please also feel free to join the session with a cup of tea or something a little stronger if you want!
