This May, please help us raise £25,000

Why we need your help

The funding climate is tough, especially for the smaller arts charities. Running Reza costs more than £150,000 a year. Even with successful funding applications, we need your support.

This May our annual fundraising campaign, together with new applications to trusts and foundations and sponsors will enable us to future proof Reza for 2025 so we can continue to deliver our popular programme of work across schools and our local community.

Thank you.

How your support helps future proof Reza

Our overall Education budget for 2025 is £78,000. This is how your support will help:

  • Our interactive, friendly Ensemble Reza concerts introduce students to different sound worlds of classical, jazz, world and folk music told through stories, song and dance.

£4775 allows us to spend three days covering nine schools and reaching over 3000 children. Your support will help fund five musicians along with our backstage team .

  • Led by a SEN music specialist workshop leader alongside Ensemble Reza musicians, students from reception to sixth-form create a multi-media cross-curricular piece combining music, art and poetry, culminating in a final performance, with students performing alongside Ensemble Reza musicians.

There will be opportunities for mentoring on a 1:1 basis for those students who show a creative interest and want to be music leaders in their year group.

£5,600 enables our SEN team reach 60 students over four days. Your money will pay for four musicians along with one workshop team leader.

  • These workshops develop and build the musical skills from previous sessions, giving year 9 - 10 students more independence to create their own music, working and performing alongside three of our professional musicians. Sessions culminate in both recording and performing opportunities for students.

£1125 pays for two musicians and one workshop leader, along with our back stage team, working for 1.5 days in one school reaching 30 students.

  • We provide students with knowledge and skills through live demonstrations to compose for a range of instruments including string/wind/brass and percussion. Our musicians test composition ideas and perform finished pieces at the end of the course alongside students in an informal concert.

£1000 pays for four Reza musicians working for one day in a 6th from college, reaching 25 students.

Our overall Community budget for 2025 is £77,000. This is how your support will help:

  • Our free lunchtime concerts bring live ensemble music to communities in Haywards Heath and Broadfield, Crawley.

£5000 will mean we can perform eight free concerts reaching on average 600 people plus 160 young people.

Your support will help fund eight concerts with an average of three Reza musicians at each, plus our back stage team.

  • Our free concerts in hospices and at Crawley Open House reach people who are facing massive hardship and wouldn’t otherwise be able to hear live classical music.

£2,500 will pay for six free concerts.

Your support will help fund on average three Reza musicians and our backstage team for six concerts.

  • Our fantastic Community Orchestra is a truly inclusive musical environment attracting players of all ages and abilities.

£4400 means we can put on three Community Orchestra rehearsals supporting on average 75 musicians of all ages/abilities.

Your support will help fund seven Reza community orchestra tutors and our backstage team.

  • Our music club is a free, live online event open to everyone. Centred around a different topic each month, attendees are encouraged to listen to and share musical influences and experiences.

£600 enables us to host two online music club evenings reaching 30+ people.

Your support will help fund two Reza musicians running a music club from their home and will include live and recorded music.
