#23: Ensemble Reza violinist - Miriam Teppich

Miriam studied at the Royal Academy of Music with Sheila Nelson, continuing her studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with David Takeno and Mark Knight and later at the Paris Conservatoire. She was a string finalist in BBC Young Musician of the Year in 1996 and the following year won the Julius Isserlis Scholarship from the Royal Philharmonic Society.

In the UK Miriam has won many prizes for solo and chamber music playing including the Rose Bowl in the Guildhall Gold Medal for a performance of Bartok's 1st Violin Concerto at the Barbican Hall, London.

Miriam was a member of the London Mozart Players from 2008 until 2017 and has been invited as Guest Principal with leading orchestras including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, London Mozart Players and Philharmonia Orchestra. She has also recorded many film scores. Teaching is very important to Miriam and she is currently Upper Strings Leader with West Sussex Music.

Miriam is one of the founding members of Ensemble Reza.
