Clarinetting!

Broadfield welcomed Steve Dummer and Laurence Cuttriss for the lunchtime concert today. They both performed a lovely programme for two clarinets, which varied from Stadler, to Poulenc and finished with Gordon Lewin’s Views of the Blues, which had everyone tapping their feet.

Steve switched clarinets halfway through and explained that this allowed him to play fewer side keys! We all learnt a great deal from his introductions and enjoyed every single note (of which there were many!) that they played.

Next month, we welcome Pavlos and friends on 25th June for a Greek programme. And if you can’t wait that long, do join us for some of our other free concerts in Crawley.
