Love is all around us!

Love was most definitely in the air last Friday evening at The Hawth. The Reza musicians set the scene for the evening with Beethoven’s Romance, followed by Rachmaninov’s sublime Vocalise and various movements from quartets by Mendelssohn, Borodin and Grieg.

After the interval, the mood was all together different, although still retained the romance. The musicians were joined by vocalist Andria Antoniou and together they took us on a whistlestop tour of lovesongs from around the world. Pavlos and Sarah’s very talented daughters, Aglaïa and Laetitia joined the band, on vocals and piano and the evening ended with a rousing singalong to La Vie en Rose, which seemed a very fitting way to send the audience off into the night.
