Exciting education funding news!
An 11 year old student told us the other day that… ‘music connects people’ and they are absolutely right.
Regardless of age, background, ethnicity, music brings people together and this is core to our ethos at Ensemble Reza.
Ensemble Reza are thrilled to announce they have been awarded funding from the National Lottery through Arts Council England to support their education programmes.
Since Covid the pressure on schools to ensure students catch up on core subjects has sometimes been at the cost of music.
But thanks to this funding, over the next six months Ensemble Reza can help bridge the gap, visiting more than 40 schools, and reaching over 9000 children across Haywards Heath, rural villages and Crawley who will benefit from our concerts and workshops.

Many students and often teachers have not experienced live music performed by a professional group, so we are really looking forward to introducing a new sound world to schools.
Our workshops will not only focus on concerts but also music making through singing and percussion, song writing and transition projects for local primary and secondary schools.
Over the last year we have found these workshops to be hugely beneficial to students, preparing them for GCSE/A‘level music and, also supporting them socially, helping to overcome feelings of anxiety and building confidence and self-esteem.
